With over 15 years of experience in the funeral industry, I noticed a lack of focused attention towards our furry friends and realized I could offer a more personalized and intentional tribute. By starting Tree Of Life Pet Cremation, I now have the privilege of serving Toledo and the surrounding areas with the exceptional care that our loyal companions deserve.

Meet Sam

Sam is a 15 year licensed professional in the funeral industry with a passion for people and pets. She has an incredible sense of duty in helping others bridge the gap from grief to peace and has a strong belief that transparency is contagious.

I first noticed the need for pet cremation when my beloved yellow lab, Winston, passed away in 2015. He was medically euthanized at a veterinary clinic due to cancer that took over his 12-year-old body. Options were limited for cremation so I chose to drive him over 60 miles to a pet crematory. I could not picture leaving my big sweetie at the vet clinic who had been through it all with me – and I mean through IT ALL. So I took matters into my own hands.

Fast forward to today, and through a passion to serve people at a very vulnerable moment, Tree of Life Pet Cremation was founded. This is a local, grass-roots pet cremation service serving NW Ohio and SE Michigan. This is not a corporation nor a franchise. This business is for the Ma’s and Pa’s of the pet-world who want the best for their pet.

At times, death comes with no warning, tough decisions emerge – that’s where I step in. My passion is people - connecting with, listening to and helping them find peace in the world after they’ve experienced a loss. I believe in what I do and have an incredible sense of duty and compassion to help others.

Location

We sub-lease a pet crematory where I am a crematory operator along with (2) other Licensed Funeral Directors/Embalmers and an additional Managing Licensed Crematory Operator. We work hard to deliver a service, create a positive experience and do so by being 100% hands-on. You will talk with us and meet us at various points of the pet-loss process. Check back though because we are currently working on improving our services so great things will be coming to meet our pet owners needs!
